UCL Semi Final: Les Parisiens lock horns with the Red Bulls as Mia San Mia pierces loudest ahead of Lyon clash.

All too soon, we await the final two slots as both will compete for the coveted UCL trophy come Sunday night.

Shocking scenes and absolute stupefaction when Lyon and RB Leipzig booked semi final spots ahead of Manchester City and Atletico respectively. Bayern eased into it with that 8-2 mauling to Barcelona and PSG left it late in that Atalanta clash to make it this far since their last semi-final in 1995.

A round table discussion as we get topical on the UCL semifinals with Bill Eshun (@Bill_Eshun) and Samuel Ayesu Lartey (@samuelkudjoe1

Chances for PSG or will Leipzig be tough to crack?

Bill: PSG's 2-1 victory over Atalanta brought a sense of belief to the team that they can finally clinch that elusive Champions League trophy. The blemish in the current team will be the fitness issues of Verratti, Gueye and Navas but the return of Mbappe and Di Maria offer a huge boost. There could be a possibility of Neymar taking the free number 10 role and that version of the Brazilian is his most dangerous. However, you can't also push the achievements of Leipzig under the rug. Nagelsmann has done an admirable job with them. The most evident was their victory over a dogged Atletico Madrid side without Timo Werner. I think they will offer a huge test to PSG's backline. The two opposing coaches also know each other well so it should be a cracker.

Sam: On two occasions I have seen PSG morph short swift flowing passes into a goal. Against Real Madrid in the group stages, the ball was flown to the left side then within a few minutes it's played across the 18 yard box of Madrid and with about two shimmies, Sarabia turned it into a goal and against Atlanta, it wasn't any different. For PSG every minute counts. Leipzig impressed me with their fast flowing football but the inexperience upfront might haunt them.

Can Lyon upset the Barvarians?

Bill: When Jerome Boateng was asked about Lyon, he confessed that they have the quality to pose problems and rightly so. They managed to beat a Ronaldo-inspired Juventus and forced Pep to bizarrely tinker his style during the quarter-final. They do have some key threats like Aouar, Depay and Cornet which Bayern would have to nullify. Lyon should also be very wary of this Bayern Munich side who have been ruthless in their last two rounds. Hansi Flick has instilled an excellent pressing game which they lacked at the beginning of the campaign. They offer a lot of problems all around the pitch and of course, there is an in-form Lewandowski to stop. Making the Polish hitman a ghost is the most difficult task for any side this season with the form he's in. Lyon have shown that they can defend better than Barcelona so it should be another puzzle for Bayern to crack.

Sam: Lyon works very hard however with the highest transition rate of the Bavarians I doubt they will play 90 minutes with less than 3 goals. With more doors to Lyon's 18 yards, surely a key or two would be made available. Lyon transition quite slowly and this will make it hard to penetrate the impervious midfield of the Barvarians. A pass to Goretzka and just a touch to Gnabry brought about a goal. Aouar held on to the ball more than required leaving Depay caught in the offside trap often against City. Undoubtedly Bayern will create more chances and because they are prolific they will get more than 3 goals.

The final.

Bill: I think PSG will be the first finalists. The dynamic duo of Neymar and Mbappe I believe will be able to break Leipzig down. Di Maria can also cause a lot of problems and if Mauro Icardi comes to the party, I don't see Leipzig stopping them. True though, that they have a promising defender in Upamecano but can be vulnerable at times and PSG have the players to exploit that. Bayern will be the other finalists. They have shown tremendous quality all over the pitch. Lewandowski seems unstoppable at the moment. Muller can find spaces to punish. The likes of Gnabry, Thiago, Kimmich and Davies pose problems as well. I expect PSG and Bayern to face off in the final.

Sam: It will be two pulsating games, I want to be fair so PSG vrs Bayern.

Not much to say for Sam there but both predicting a PSG - Bayern final. Their thoughts. Let's see how that goes.
Mia san Mia pierces loudest but Lyon a hurdle to overcome in order to make one step closer as PSG must go all in with some players being available.
